Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes. 

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

AUGUSTA, GA: Five Richmond County residents face various terms of years in prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a master key for postal service mailboxes and other felony counts occurring in 2023. This investigation is on-going. Davion Chelsea Easterling, 26, and Corey Jamario Gunter, 24, both of Augusta, await sentencing after pleading guilty to Aiding and Abetting Possession of a Stolen Mail Key.

Orlando U.S. Postal Employee Sentenced In "Fenta-Pill" Conspiracy

Orlando, Florida – U.S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton today sentenced Orlando Rosa Rodriguez (59, Orlando) to 5 years and 10 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and money laundering. The court also ordered Rosa Rodriguez to forfeit two vehicles, both of which were traceable proceeds of the offense. Rosa Rodriguez pleaded guilty on February 24, 2025.

Seekonk Postmaster Arrested for Theft of Government Money

BOSTON – The former Postmaster for the Seekonk Post Office has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of over $19,000 through no-fee money orders. Bethany LeBlanc, 48, of Seekonk, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of theft of government money. LeBlanc was arrested this morning and will appear in federal court in Boston later today.

Former Postal Employee Sentenced to Two Years Probation for Delay of U.S. Mail

NEW ORLEANS – CHRISTOPHER WASHINGTON (“WASHINGTON”), age 32, of Houma, La. was sentenced, on May 15, 2025, to 2 years probation after previously pleading guilty to delay of U.S. Mail matter by postal employee, in violation of 18 U.S.C. ' 1703(a), announced Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson.

Tallahassee Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Multiple Federal Crimes Relating to Mail Theft and Bank Fraud Conspiracy

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Romeo Wilson, 20, of Tallahassee, Florida, was sentenced to more than 24 months in federal prison after previously pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud, 14 counts of bank fraud, aggravated identity theft, possession of fifteen or more access devices, possession of a stolen United States Postal Service mail key, and possession of stolen mail. The sentence was announced by Michelle Spaven, Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
